STOCKTON, Calif. – C B Merchant Services recently announced grants totaling $135,000 have been made to 30 community benefit organizations in 2016, and includes a grant to the California Association of Collector Educational Scholarship Foundation (CACESF) to promote financial literacy to graduating high school seniors. 

“We’re proud to continue supporting organizations that help make our community a better place to live,” Said C B Merchant Services President, Linda Guinn. CBMS granted $2000 in support of the CACESF’s statewide competitive essay and scholarship program. Guinn commented, “CACESF’s essay contest is a wonderful vehicle to promote financial literacy on a statewide level.” The scholarship competition requires a simple one-page application and an essay on "The Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Financial Credit During Your College Years."
