BIRMINGHAM, AL – Wachovia Corp. is planning a $400 million data center in Birmingham that will anchor a 337-acre technology park.
The Charlotte, N.C., bank’s 210,000-square-foot tech center will initially employ 40 workers, but that figure could more than double after a few years, The Birmingham News reported Sunday.
Company officials said the project will have an estimated annual economic impact of more than $6 million.
