HM Revenue & Customs, the UK agency responsible for collecting the bulk of tax revenue as well as paying tax credits, has issued an embarrassing apology to UBS Laing & Cruickshank after it lost a CD Rom containing sensitive financial information on some of the private bank’s well-heeled clients.
