On Thursday April 8, 2010 at 3 p.m. Eastern time, Dawn T. Horst and DHC Consulting Services, LLC announced their separation from Contrax Systems, LLC. After 4 years of working together, DHC negotiated a transfer of ownership to the remaining members of Contrax Systems, LLC board.

Dawn T. Horst, former President of Contrax Systems, LLC and current President of DHC Consulting Services, LLC commented briefly on the subject, stating that there were large differences in opinion on how the company should move forward. “I had larger goals in mind, and in order to achieve those goals I felt it was prudent to separate DHC’s technologies and knowledge from the name of Contrax, and continue developing the cutting edge solutions and tools that DHC has been doing for years. Since development of the website and its applications were under the DHC umbrella, it really came down to a decision on the brand name. I ultimately decided the brand was not as important to me as my inherent need to grow and continue the development of relevant applications to increase profitability. DHC has been a pioneer in creating the most powerful solutions available in the receivables management and purchasing business.”

Dawn went on further to describe that in the last 4 years of her affiliation with Contrax Systems, LLC, DHC was responsible for, among others, the development of StratX, known by many as the industry leading portfolio evaluation tool, and TRAX, one of the premiere post-sale management systems. These two systems will continue to be offered by DHC and move under the new umbrella and brand.

Piasa collection software shall continue to be offered and supported by Contrax. Dawn commented on this decision. “Piasa was a project we took on completely under the Contrax brand, and it was intended to be a technology solution for smaller debt buyers. DHC’s new direction will not be in the collection software arena, and Piasa will remain under the Contrax brand and management.”
