Ontario Systems announced the FACS Web product would be available by the end of the year. The announcement was made recently at the company?s Annual Educational Conference in Indianapolis.

The product will allow debtors to use the Internet to make payment arrangements that will be updated in real time to the collection application?s batch file. It also will allow clients to view reports, upload new business and recall accounts via the Web in real time to the application?s batch file.

A template will be provided but the product will be exceptionally flexible, allowing a business to create their own Web application that is consistent with their existing Web site and customer service strategy. Users will be able to add fields easily to Web pages or map a user-defined window in the FACS system to a window on the Web page.

Additional application functionality includes the ability to audit a debtor?s movement through the Web site. The information will be stored on the account, even if a payment attempt is abandoned. Events occurring on the Web site, such as setting up a payment arrangement, will move the account automatically to the next phase of the collection process as defined by the business rules.
