Apollo Enterprise Solutions LLC, a provider of web-based payment and collection technology, announced today that John Furjanic has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Analytics & Decision Strategy. His responsibilities at Apollo include developing and optimizing payment and client settlement strategies.

Prior to joining Apollo, Furjanic led the Credit Policy and Risk Management team as Executive Vice President at Citigroup. Under his leadership, credit loss rates were reduced for managed portfolios valued at $2 billion by more than 50% and $25 million per year. John also successfully managed credit process and policy system conversion for the Diners Club/MasterCard alliance in North America that increased sales by 50% within six months while maintaining credit loss performance within plan. Furjanic championed and managed a new product launch in January 2006 that achieved the entire year’s sales goal of $100 million by end of the first quarter.

John has managed numerous assignments in more than 35 countries around the world, served as a member of the Executive Management Committee for Diners Club North America from 2000-2006, and was Senior Credit Officer and Group Credit Director for Citigroup’s Global Consumer Bank.

“With 19 years of experience at Citigroup, John is one of the leading experts in credit and risk management practices,” said Michael Walker, Apollo’s Chief Operating Officer. “He has successfully applied his strategies to the credit card industry, the financial industry’s most demanding payment and debt collection environment. Now our clients will benefit from his expertise as he guides them in developing best practices for contact marketing, as well as payment terms and settlement strategies.”

“I am delighted to be joining the Apollo team and look forward to applying risk management principles to the self-service payments and collection industry,” said Furjanic. “I am also excited to be a part of the opportunity to deliver Apollo’s strategic vision into broad and diverse marketplaces, including telecommunications, healthcare, financial services, and government. In every case where settlement rules can be enhanced by combining credit bureau data with sound risk analysis principles, we will be able to substantially improve the operational efficiencies and P&L performance of our clients at Apollo.”

Furjanic was a co-founder and faculty member of the Diners Club International Credit and Risk Management training course and was an active instructor for Citigroup’s Consumer Credit and Credit & Risk training courses. He has also been the recipient of numerous awards that include the Citigroup Credit Card Division Chairman’s Team Award, the Diners Club North America Presidential Award, and Citigroup’s Global Concord Award for excellence in cross border knowledge transfer. John holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie-Mellon University.
