eBureau, an innovative provider of custom predictive scoring and information solutions, today announced it has further strengthened its senior management team with the addition of two highly-experienced online advertising industry executives, Matt Coffin and David Dowhan. Coffin, former president of Experian Online Customer Acquisition Services and founder of LowerMyBills.com, will join the company’s board of directors, effective immediately. Dowhan, a former senior vice president at Adteractive, will immediately assume the newly-created post of senior vice president, online marketing.

These two strategic appointments add significant expertise in online advertising and lead generation, and provide eBureau with additional insight and capabilities for further penetrating the online marketing sector.

Previously, Coffin was president of Experian Online Customer Acquisition Services, where he identified and developed new business opportunities utilizing the company’s core data and analytics, and technologies from existing Experian Interactive brands, including LowerMyBills, ClassesUSA, Affiliate Fuel, InstantApprovals, and ExpertsOnCredit. Prior to joining Experian, he was founder and president of LowerMyBills.com, the premier free online service for consumers to compare low rates on monthly bills and reduce their cost of living. Through his leadership and online marketing prowess, Coffin built LowerMyBills.com into the leading online mortgage lead generator and number-one online financial services advertiser in the United States. In May 2005, he successfully engineered Experian’s acquisition of the company for $380 million. Coffin holds a B.S. degree in finance and entrepreneurial studies from Babson College in Babson Park, Mass. Currently, Coffin is an angel investor, with investments including Mahalo.co, DocStoc, MarketProbability, and Demand Media.

Split Rock Partners, an investor in eBureau, also served as a board member and lead investor in LowerMyBills. “Having worked with Matt for six years as he built LowerMyBills, I have found him to be a very astute and insightful executive, with a talent for dramatically enhancing revenue, profitability, and brand awareness,” said Jim Simons, managing director of Split Rock Partners.

Dowhan is a senior executive with deep experience in Internet customer acquisition, product development, and consumer marketing analytics. He comes to eBureau from online lead generation firm Adteractive, Inc., where he most recently served as senior vice president of marketing analytics and strategy. Dowhan has also held senior-level positions at online pharmacy drugstore.com, Inc. and NextCard, Inc., one of the first issuers of credit cards online, and the first to offer instant online approval. He earned a B.S. degree in symbolic systems from Stanford University, and a MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
