Collection Agency Closing New Mexico Call Center

Taos, NM – A Taos call center plans to shut down April 6th.

Pennsylvania-based Penncro Associates had opened in Taos in October 2001, doing debt collections for business clients.

Penncro president Paul Crowley could not be reached for comment about why the company is shutting the center.

Local economic development officials are trying to find a replacement.

They say the Penncro work force numbered about 250 at one time, but its recent employment has been about 60.
