Phoenix Health Systems (Phoenix), a premier provider of integrated professional and technical services focused on the business goals of healthcare organizations, has opened a Leveraged Service Center (LSC) in Honolulu to support the needs of its Pacific Region clients.

The Phoenix LSC, located at 1132 Bishop Street, provides a shared environment for centralized IT infrastructure management and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) services. Local healthcare organizations leverage Phoenix’s methods, tools, and people to provide an improved service model and a more effective cost structure.

“Phoenix’s physical presence — a Leveraged Service Center in Honolulu — reinforces its long-term commitment to Hawaii’s healthcare providers,” said Phoenix Executive Vice President John Hinton. Hinton has several years of healthcare consulting and outsourcing experience in Hawaii. “Healthcare leaders are realizing the value in such partnerships with experienced IT and RCM service providers who can enhance service outcomes while reducing the total expense and management time devoted to these complex business support functions. This allows an organization to concentrate on its core patient care-related services and programs.”

To further strengthen its capability and presence in Honolulu, Phoenix has entered into a strategic partnership with Ronald Haranda and Associates, Inc., an experienced local healthcare consulting firm. The agreement calls for Phoenix to work directly with Ronald Haranda, principal of RHA, for advisory and business services within the Hawaiian community. Haranda has dedicated his career to working with Hawaii’s hospital systems, physicians and health insurance groups to identify business solutions to lower costs and enhance services.

“This partnership is consistent with RHA’s overall mission to create awareness of innovative healthcare management techniques, efficiencies, and the value of industry and sector-specific services available from companies such as Phoenix,” said Haranda.
