Metropolitan Card Operations (MCO) contracted PIC Solutions to conduct a Collections HealthCheck to maximize the return on their collections strategies.

MCO is a division of Metropolitan Holdings, which is a JSE Top 100 company and one of the four largest listed life insurers in South Africa. MCO was launched with a view to provide clients with a more comprehensive service offering. Instead of a branch network, the business relies on a call center driven distribution and service delivery model.

During this assignment, PIC Solutions consultants will examine MCO’s current collections environment and make practical business recommendations that will ensure that collections policies are aligned with industry ‘best practice’  and the client’s strategies.

The Collections HealthCheck focuses on collections policies, collections workflow and procedures, the operational structure of the collections department, scoring and use of data in decision-making as well as collections technology.

Andrew Goodrich, Chief Operating Officer of Metropolitan Card Operations said, “To successfully deal with a changing business environment and cater for scalability we need our strategies to be built on a foundation of collections best practices. PIC Solutions understands the various factors affecting our collections environment and this HealthCheck will ensure that our collections are running at maximum efficiency.”

Stephen Leonard, Managing Director of PIC Solutions, comments, “This Collections HealthCheck aims to ensure that all future personal loan collections and recovery strategies are optimized and incorporate industry best practices with the focus on adding value and increasing the client’s bottom line. By effectively managing their strategies and collections procedures, Metropolitan Card Operations can maximize opportunities and successfully grow their portfolio.”
