BioPay Enrolled Customer Base Reaches Two Million Mark

Greenville, NC, resident Janice Wilkerson recently visited the local Piggly Wiggly to cash her payroll check. She enrolled in BioPay’s Paycheck Secure system and by doing so, became the two millionth enrollee in BioPay’s biometric database. To date, two million consumers across the United States have enrolled in BioPay’s biometric database. With BioPay’s Paycheck Secure system, customers can enroll at any participating grocery store, liquor store, convenience store or check cashing location to cash any employer’s paycheck or a government check with a simple touch of a finger.

Wilkerson joins one of more than 9,000 customers to enroll in BioPay’s Paycheck Secure system at the Piggly Wiggly in Greenville, NC, a store that to date has cashed more than $24 million in payroll checks since the system installation in late 2002. “Our customers appreciate the speed and convenience of cashing their checks by just putting their finger down,” said Rick Jackson, owner of the Piggly Wiggly in Greenville. “Hard-working members of our community who are without a bank account have a difficult time cashing their weekly paycheck.
