Vero Beach, FL – National healthcare receivables industry leader, MDS , has announced Eugene (Gene) Schneider to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Gene Schneider joined MDS in late 2008 and has already successfully launched a new logo and marketing initiative for MDS. Gene Schneider, COO, will be responsible for all areas of the Company’s operations. He will focus on the development of a new strategy designed to more effectively position the Company’s services, increase the Company’s competitive positioning, and further improve upon the company’s twenty-four (24) year history in healthcare receivables management.

Gene has over 20 years of senior management experience in health care and most recently was president of his own consulting company which provided interim management services to health care service companies. Previously, Gene was Senior Vice President of Administration and Planning for i3 Global, a 1500 person global services company supporting the Pharmaceutical industry; Executive Vice President for the Medstat Group, a health care informatics company, where he managed a hospital contract management and reimbursement business and a Partner with Ernst & Young providing management consulting to the insurance and health care industries.
