Markham, ON ? Allied International Credit Corp. (AIC), is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of Canada?s 50 Best Managed Companies for 2002. This is the second time AIC has won this award, the first time being in 1999, followed by two re-qualification years. This was an excellent opportunity for our Management Team to review the progress our Company has made over the past three years and hence the reason why we decided to enter the program again.

This program, sponsored by Deloitte & Touche, CIBC, Queen?s School of Business, and the National Post, recognizes fifty companies that have implemented world-class best business practices in a range of industries.

David Rae, President & CEO, was excited about winning this award a second time, however, the team was very aware that the number of great companies that are exposed to the program continues to grow and that the number of second time winners is small. Rae believes, ?This award is a tribute to AIC?s forward-thinking, professional approach to the industry, which recognizes our primary asset is our employees. While employees are a key to most businesses, the quality of our people and their desire to succeed is paramount to our success, so we?re continually rewarding people for doing things right ? giving them lots of training, so they feel more confident in their position and can improve their skill set on a continual basis. This is in addition to numerous benefit programs, including profit sharing programs, share-option plans, health benefits, fitness programs, and much more. The culture we have developed at AIC is a reason we are able to retain and attract great people and only by continually evaluating ourselves can we continue to get better and create a great company to work for?.

AIC is a privately held, Canadian company, founded in 1955, based in Markham, Ontario, Canada, and with operations in Canada, the USA and the United Kingdom.
