In a 244-285 decision, the House approved a $70 billion tax cut package, according to a Reuters story.


The decision was lambasted by Democrats, who see the cut as helpful only to the rich while simeltaneously deepening budget deficits.


The Senate is expected to pass the bill in a class vote today.
