ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA), will hold its annual Fall Forum, November 2-4, 2005, at the Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago. With the theme Elevate Your Vision, this year?s forum will feature specialized tracks from four of ACA’s industry-specific collection markets. The event continues to grow, and attendance at the 2005 forum is expected to top the 250 that turned out last year.


The Fall Forum is a unique opportunity for industry professionals to learn more about their market as well as other industry segments.


“This day-and-a-half conference conveniently brings together professionals in a variety of markets to share their expertise, network with colleagues and build on new opportunities for success,” said Gary Rippentrop, CEO of ACA. Attendees may participate in any of the sessions offered within the specified tracks:

  • Asset Buyers Division (ABD). This year’s ABD track, more commonly known as the Year-End Debt Sales Roundup, provides attendees industry-exclusive networking, educational and deal-making opportunities. The year-end roundup offers cutting-edge information and valuable content to both experienced professionals and new entrants to the industry. Session topics include: profiting in today’s market, due diligence, international debt buying and critical issues in the industry. This track also features sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities.

  • Government Services Program (GSP). Programming for the GSP track will take attendees through higher education collection practices, tax collections from a creditor’s viewpoint, the effects bankruptcy has on government collections, responding to RFPs and what to expect when partnering with a collection agency. A variety of presenters and topics make this track an excellent career-enhancing opportunity for those working in any segment of the government receivables market.

  • Healthcare Services Program (HSP). Current trends in healthcare receivables make this year’s HSP track a must-attend for industry veterans and new market entrants alike. Topics covered include: building and maintaining strong relationships with provider clients, selling healthcare debt, responding to healthcare RFPs and learning the psychology of a sale.

  • Internet & Check Services Program (ICSP). At the ICSP track, attendees will elevate their vision of check collection, check acceptance and electronic transactions. Timely sessions in this series include: a Regulation E update, best practices for data security, the new bankruptcy law and dealing with identity theft.
