Lou DiPalma manages Garnet’s client-origination and portfolio-sales efforts. He has been involved in over 300 such transactions; his asset brokerage experience includes credit cards, installment loans, mortgage and commercial loan products.

Lou built Cohane Rafferty’s distressed-asset sales and advisory business and has become a leading figure in this marketplace. As a founding member of the Keefe, Bruyette & Woods loan sales group (2002-04), Lou led the establishment of a successful practice providing financial-advisory services to debt-purchasing companies.

Lou has written for and been widely quoted in numerous industry publications including American Banker, The Financial Times (London) and Collections and Credit Risk. He is a frequent speaker at industry-sponsored events and has chaired Source Media’s National Collections & Credit Risk Conference.

He has a B.S. from St. Lawrence University, a Masters from the American Institute of Banking and holds Series 24, 7 and 63 licenses.
