Professional Recovery Services, Inc. (PRS), a New Jersey-based collection agency with clients in markets throughout the financial services sector and beyond, today announced it has secured a contract with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to be included on Federal schedule 520-4, Debt Collection (520-4). This puts PRS among a select group of collection agencies qualified to do business with the Federal government based on qualifications to include past performance and references, nationwide capabilities, and financial strength.


520-4 is the schedule under which the U.S. Department of Education and Department of Treasury procure collection services. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) falls under the Department of Treasury, and is expected to make use of a limited number of vendors on the schedule for SIN 520-4 when it awards contracts to Private Collection Agencies (PCAs) for the first time under SIN 520-4 due to last year?s passage of the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004.
