Western Union would like to keep letting its customers send money to Mexico. Arizona is seeking an injunction against that. This led Western Union to say on Friday that it will seek a stay of an Arizona warrant that would seize fund transfers.



According to a Reuters article, Western Union asked a federal court to issue a temporary restraining order against the planned seizure. The next day, Arizona obtained a seizure warrant from a state court related to money transfers originating from Arizona and 28 other states to 26 locations in the Mexican state of Sonora.



Western Union believes the matter will not adversely affect its business.
