Portfolio Recovery Associates Inc. said in an updated filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it expects to raise $41.5 million from an initial public offering.


The Norfolk-based company, which buys delinquent consumer debt from banks, credit-card issuers, finance companies and retailers and seeks repayment from the debtors, said that it expects to sell 3.47 million common shares for $12 to $14 each.
