Columbia Ultimate, the industry expert in providing software and integrated solutions for collecting money, today announced the release of ManageMed 3.1, the latest version of its collection software for the healthcare industry. Newest features include an interface for Experian Collection Advantage, several credit reporting enhancements, and UB-04 and CMS 1500 forms compatibility.

Hospitals, healthcare facilities and agencies can rely on ManageMed to improve existing practice management systems to compress the overall timeframe required to collect the balance from the patient, as well as the primary and secondary insurance companies. The software can boost staff productivity, increase cash flow and automate accounts receivables activities to reduce AR days.

Aimed to deliver greater efficiency and productivity, ManageMed version 3.1 features enhancements to the following areas:

  • The Representative screen features eight brand new action code scripts, enhanced account viewing and detailed information about representative and post screen codes when the mouse pointer is positioned over the fields.
  • Account Flow Manager (AFM) encompasses three new reports, as well as edit actions and events from within the AFM conditions screen.
  • Microsoft Word interface enables the creation of high-quality correspondence through the use of embedded logos, forms, graphics and other functionality commonly used in Word. Generated letters can be archived for later retrieval.
  • Enhancements to the credit reporting function make reporting and cancelling accounts easier either by an individual or multiple account action.

Additional enhancements include the integration of Experian Collection Advantage, fields for a National Provider Identification number, UB-04 and CMS 1500 forms, and ACA Market Survey Report.

“ManageMed 3.1 features a wide range of new functions and features that are critical for operating healthcare collections with successful returns,” said R. Fred Houston, president and CEO, Columbia Ultimate. “The healthcare collections industry is complex with ever-changing issues and rules. ManageMed 3.1 underscores our ongoing commitment to help clients successfully maneuver through healthcare compliance and achieve solid results.”
