CrossCheck, Inc. announced the introduction of CrossCheck Business Office Conversion Plus(SM), a check conversion and guarantee service for consumer and business checks including accounts receivable checks.

Businesses can use this service to electronically convert paper checks accepted at the point-of-sale or sent in for payment resulting in faster, easier check handling and eliminating the need to take the checks to the bank for deposit. The checks can be processed through a terminal or by using a PC with an imager. CrossCheck, the nation’s largest privately held check approval and guarantee company, will make this service available to businesses using the CrossCheck Conversion Plus(SM) service. With this service in place, check information is sent through a POS terminal or by PC using the CrossCheck web site and funds are ACH’d into the merchant account. Their conversion service includes conversion of business checks and can be used for mailed-in accounts receivable checks.

“We’re excited to have this service available to meet the needs of businesses that receive checks by mail for payment and are looking for a convenient and inexpensive way to process all of their checks, even business checks,” said J. David Siembieda, president and CEO of CrossCheck. “Conversion allows them to reduce the time spent away from the office for trips to the bank. That’s a great advantage for small retailers and medical offices with limited staff.”

CrossCheck Business Office Conversion Plus also enables multi-location businesses to have their checks converted and deposited into one main account. Included in the service is free online reporting which provides transaction activity including check status and funding information.
