A St. Louis area debt collection agency on Tuesday denied allegations that it misappropriated information about H&R Block Inc. tax clients from the Kansas City company?s computers.

Bob Pedroli, an attorney for J&M Securities LLC of Clayton, Mo., and its agent, Jay R. Burns Jr., called the allegations baseless. He said the accusations in a civil lawsuit filed last week in federal court were a rehash of claims Block made in an earlier Missouri civil lawsuit that was not going the way Block wanted.
