Van Ru Lends a Helping Hand

After the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, many Americans rushed to help the families and victims of the tragedy, and Van Ru employees are proud to be among those to help. As part of Van Ru?s continued support of charities, employees collected donations for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Van Ru also made a generous donation to the America: A Tribute to Heroes telethon. The star-studded telethon was seen by almost sixty million viewers nationwide, helping to raise $150 million for the United Way.

As a sign of Van Ru?s support, the company sponsored “American Pride Week? from September 17-21, during which employees were allowed to dress casually in exchange for wearing red, white and blue each day. Many staff members creatively displayed their patriotism, using pins, flags, ribbons and even manicures, making the event a big success.
