Carcieri and Stephen Shama, MD will give keynote addresses at the 2007 CareTracker Client Conference. Tailored for clinical and administrative staffs, this year’s annual event will address the critical issues in healthcare and will be held February 7-9, 2007, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Spa on Goat Island in Newport, R.I.

On Friday, February 9th at 8:30am, Gov. Carcieri will highlight his vision for improving the state’s healthcare technology infrastructure. Specifically, Gov. Carcieri’s keynote address will focus on his healthcare reform agenda and the creation of the secure healthcare information exchange network to improve the safety and overall quality of care for patients.

Dr. Shama from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center will give his keynote speech on Thursday, February 8th at 9am. The presentation entitled, “How to Have an Unforgettably Positive Office Visit™,” will offer attendees inspirational stories and concrete examples of how to connect and communicate with patients in a meaningful way.
