President has replaced former Treasury Secretary John Snow with the former chief executive of Goldman Sachs, Henry Paulson. The story is being covered by MarketWatch, among others.

While the economy is rising, Paulson has said, its strength cannot be taken for granted. Like most new employees, Paulson has promised to work well with others ? i.e., Congress and the private sector — “to help keep the American economy strong and competitive.”

The nomination ends months of speculations about the departure of Snow, who, not burning any bridges, says he left the job with ?great satisfaction.? And an economy on pretty shaky ground. But that?s neither here nor there.
