Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. Maintains National Recognition as Best Overall Healthcare Information Technology Vendor

KLAS Enterprises, an independent healthcare IT vendor research firm, published its annual “TOP 20: KLAS Mid-Year Report Card”, announcing that Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. (USA) has maintained its rating as the BEST OVERALL vendor. In addition, USA retained the category leader position in both Enterprise Scheduling and Surgery Management.

The 2006 Mid-Year Report Card marks the seventh consecutive year that USA has emerged a leader in the industry. The data used in the report is derived from surveys of integrated delivery networks (IDNs), large healthcare clinics and acute care facilities, and is based on direct feedback from hospital executives on their experiences with healthcare information technology products. More than 4,500 hospitals and more than 2,500 clinics, representing nearly 75 percent of U.S. hospitals, were included in the most recent study. The surveys are conducted well after delivery and implementation, providing a realistic comparison of IT vendor and product actual performance. Only a few vendors match their marketing and sales promises with actual deliveries. USA does it best.

Survey respondents indicated significant positive impact on the revenue cycle management and physician satisfaction using USA’s solutions; “We continue to see an increase in patient cases, but our revenue has grown even more in the past couple of years as a result of implementing this product. Last year, we had a 2% increase in patient cases, with an 18% increase in revenue. The product does a good job of capturing lost charges. We are also doing a better job with quality assurance and turnover times.” “Our physician satisfaction has improved and we have much better interdepartmental communication. We have more effective and efficient scheduling. One benefit that we hadn’t foreseen is that our JCAHO reporting capabilities are greatly improved.”

USA’s hospital clients rating the vendor’s product functionality and customer service also provided notable commentary; “This system works in all areas of our healthcare system because it is so customizable and contains so many features.” “I have never worked with a vendor so committed to their clients, I could not ask for better service.”

Other highlights from the 2006 TOP 20: KLAS Mid-Year Report Card include: RMS received a 100% ranking among respondents in the enterprise scheduling category when asked if they would purchase the product again, and a 100% ranking when asked if they would recommend to a friend/peer.Both of USA’s solutions, RMS and ORMS, are in the top 10 overall among the 500 products included in the study.
