After the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast, Williams & Fudge employees rallied together to provide aid for the people most in need. Williams & Fudge, Inc., who assists over 650 colleges and universities in the collection of delinquent student loans and receivables, donated over $18,900 to the American Red Cross Katrina Disaster Relief Fund.

“Look at the videos. Thousands of folks are left without a home, a job, or even a car. No place to go. Humanity is hurting. I am very proud of who we are and what can do to help. This company has done an outstanding job and will continue to do so. It will be used to help people in need,” Gary Williams, CEO, stated as he addressed his staff of 145 employees.

In addition to monetary donations, Williams & Fudge has established a drop-off point for basic need items for evacuee families in the Charlotte area. Items needed range from baby medicine, tooth brushes, non-perishable food items to clothing for all ages. Williams & Fudge continues to contribute aid to the people affected by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

A blood drive was also orchestrated by the Williams & Fudge employees. The American Red Cross bloodmobile visited the Williams & Fudge office in Rock Hill, South Carolina on October 3rd to collect blood donations for those injured during the storm and its aftermath. Over 60 employees signed up to give the gift of life.
