St. Louis, MO ? On August 22, CACi, a St. Louis-based accounts receivable management firm, became only the 27th agency worldwide to be certified through the Professional Practices Management System (PPMS) of ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals. There are approximately 6500 collection agencies in the United States alone.

The PPMS system, based on the ISO 9002 quality management standard, promotes continuous improvement through tracking, auditing and process refinement. “Every company has areas of strength and those needing improvement. PPMS better enables us to continuously improve our strengths and constructively address areas of concern. We are already seeing a more finely tuned ability to drive client satisfaction and measurable productivity levels higher than ever before. Much of the credit is attributed to PPMS, but more so to the way that our team has embraced it and applied it,” said Roger Weiss, COO.

CACi also has a rigorous certification policy for its employees. The company provides industry-specific legal compliance training for its collectors to become individually certified as Professional Collection Specialists through ACA International. While less than two percent of collectors worldwide are PCS certified, nearly 100 percent of CACi’s eligible employees have earned that distinction.
