Per-Se Technologies announced today that the new version of its leading claims management solution, ePREMIS® 2.6, is generally available. The new version helps hospitals seamlessly transition from the current UB-92 and HCFA-1500 claim forms to the new UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim forms for enhanced claim adjudication. ePREMIS is the only revenue cycle management solution connected to an EHNAC-accredited clearinghouse that offers direct connectivity to Medicare payers.

ePREMIS 2.6 is flexible to accommodate industry changes without interruption to a hospital’s revenue cycle. The product provides organizations with complete control when viewing and printing claims data during the transition to the new claim forms. Regardless of the type of claim created by a hospital’s accounting system, ePREMIS can format and input the data into the new fields seamlessly. Per-Se’s other claims management software solutions including PREMIS, ClaimTrack.RCM™ and Advantage will also release versions with similar standardized functionality later this year.

“ePREMIS 2.6 is about seamless automation of processes critical to HIPAA requirements and other industry changes,” said Dave Mason, Per-Se’s president of Hospital Solutions – Revenue Cycle Management. “Our robust revenue cycle management products and services are not only the leading solutions available to help hospitals be more profitable, but they also proactively assist our clients for a constantly changing healthcare business environment.”

Current ePREMIS customers using the application service provider version immediately benefit from the updated claim forms functionality, and all ePREMIS customers may take advantage of an extensive product-training program, which includes instruction on the new version 2.6 functionality. ePREMIS has supported the critical National Provider Identifier standard and extended Correct Coding Initiative capabilities since June.

ePREMIS helps hospitals manage the challenges of high accounts receivable days and the increasing cost of collections by streamlining the claims reimbursement cycle. With connectivity to more than 1,500 government and commercial payers, and the broadest editing capabilities in the industry, ePREMIS improves efficiencies and contributes to increased margins and productivity by reducing the steps necessary to perform routine claims management functions.
