QuadraMed® Corporation today announced the launch of a new identity and corporate branding strategy. The new branding was developed in conjunction with the Company’s strategy to further integrate its patient access, identity management, care management, health information management and patient revenue management product lines. Together, these products form QuadraMed’s Care-Based Revenue Cycle™ solutions that enable clients to transform their quality care into financial success.

“QuadraMed is a strong national brand,” said Keith B. Hagen, QuadraMed President and CEO. “Our new theme, ‘Quality Care. Financial Health.’, clearly and powerfully reflects our vision and dedication to improving healthcare through innovative IT solutions. The new identity and corporate branding signify more than merely a style change. They represent our commitment to a change in our business model, enhancing our competitive position at the healthcare enterprise level, as well as at the departmental level.

“Our Care-Based Revenue Cycle solutions can help clients achieve their quality care goals and leverage that quality care into financial health as they receive the proper reimbursement, in the shortest time, at the lowest administrative cost.”

QuadraMed has already begun integrating its “Best in KLAS” and other industry-leading applications to provide clients with comprehensive solutions that address revenue cycle management (RCM) from a care-based perspective. The Company’s Care-Based Revenue Cycle solutions link clinical elements and processes with the revenue cycle to provide an end-to-end framework for positive patient identification, patient access, care management, health information management, and revenue cycle management.

As the healthcare industry implements initiatives to improve patient safety, offer transparency based on quality benchmarking, and linking payment for services to quality and outcomes, the revenue cycle must evolve to address them. In this new era, RCM must be viewed as more than a purely financial transaction, and this will transcend the capabilities of most clinical and financial legacy systems.

The market need for Care-Based Revenue Cycle solutions is underscored by findings published in the “2007 HIMSS Analytics Report: Care-Based Revenue Cycle Management Report,” sponsored by QuadraMed, which surveyed 300 healthcare executives. In it, HIMSS Analytics™ concluded, “Effective RCM strategies will depend on next generation clinical and financial information systems to address RCM from a care-based perspective in order for organizations to fully realize their revenue potential as the paradigm of reimbursement continues to shift towards payment based on quality and performance.”
