JB&R Named One of Northeast Ohio's Fastest Growing Companies

For the third consecutive year, Javitch, Block & Rathbone (JB&R) has been named to the prestigious Weatherhead 100 list of fastest growing companies in northeast Ohio. JB&R is the fourth largest creditor rights firm in the country.

The list, compiled by the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, identifies the 100 area companies that best represent the Cleveland entrepreneurial spirit and serve as examples of successful businesses. They are companies that have had the highest percentages of sustained growth over the past five years, significant increases in the number of employees during that period, and a net increase in sales from 2004 to 2005.

JB&R’s other business honors, in addition to the Weatherhead 100 list for the past three years, are the Innovator Award for their utilization of technology in the firm’s growth plan —which includes software designed in-house — and the Northcoast 99 list of the best places to work in Northeast Ohio.

Established in 1991, JB&R specializes in the areas of collections, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, insurance subrogation, landlord/tenant law, and business transactions. They also do foreclosure and related work. The creditor representation practice includes a full-service collection department, a special collection department, and a real estate management service. One of only a few fully automated creditors’ law firms in Ohio, JB&R runs their operations on proprietary software created in-house.
