Health Care Property Investors, Inc. today announced the addition of Susan M. Tate, Matthew A. Brill, William J. Budzinski, Michael A. Congdon and Patrick J. Stangle as officers of the Company.

Tate joins the Company as Senior Vice President – Asset Management. She assumes her new responsibilities on February 1, 2007 and succeeds Sharon Yester who has retired effective January 31, 2007. Tate has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and commercial real estate lending. Since 1999 she has served as Vice President, Corporate Banking – North America for JPMorgan Chase. Tate will lead asset management for senior housing, skilled nursing and hospital facilities of the Company.

Brill joins the Company as Vice President – Treasury Services. He worked in the Treasurer’s Office of General Motors for six years after receiving his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Prior to that time, Brill worked as a Senior Consultant, National Real Estate at KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP.

Budzinski joins the Company as Vice President – Human Resources. He has 25 years of experience in human resources including most recently with Vanguard Heath Systems, Tenet Healthcare and Deloitte & Touche.

Congdon joins the Company as Vice President – Tax. He has over 15 years of experience in tax and most recently served as Senior Tax Manager, Tax Operations for the Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction industries at Ernst & Young, LLP.

Stangle joins the Company as Vice President – Risk Management. He has over 30 years of experience in risk management. Most recently Stangle was Director – Risk Management at Goodman Global Holdings, Inc. since 2005 and Director – Risk Management at Contran Corporation from 1989 through 2004.
