Jim Curry is Vice President and founder of Capital Financial Group, Inc. (CFG), which opened its offices in January of 2003 in partnership with Rich Munroe, formerly of OSI Portfolio Services, Inc. Capital Financial Group, Inc. is a buyer and seller of consumer debt that also provides acquisition, selling, and post sales support services to various issuers and debt buyers in the collections industry. CFG has brokered portfolio sales in excess of two billion dollars worth of consumer debt, as well as, through it’s strategic alliance with Risk Management Alternatives from January, 2004 to March, 2005 purchased over eight hundred million dollars of consumer debt for the portfolio division.

In the fall of 1994, Mr. Curry started his career working at Eagle Service Corp., one of the bad debt industry’s earliest pioneers. Mr. Curry worked as Vice President of Eagle Service Corp., which focused on liquidating portfolios through the litigation process. He handled the due diligence, acquisitions, sales, skiptracing, asset search & verification, account selection for legal forwarding, and monitored the legal process.

Mr. Curry, with over 10 years of experience in the distressed debt industry, has been involved in over 250 portfolio acquisitions of different debt types, totaling in excess of $6 billion and has been directly involved in over 120 portfolio sales of different debt types, totaling in excess of $4 billion. This experience includes all aspects of debt purchases and sales from legal analysis, due diligence, contract negotiations, legal strategy, and in developing long-term relationships with top issuers, resellers of debt, and state and regional buyers of debt. He is married to Dawn Curry and they have one daughter, MaKenzie.
