Park Ridge, IL — On Tuesday, August 14, Van Ru Credit Corporation employees made their second donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, the national wish-granting organization dedicated to making wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. Michelle Jimenez, corporate relations manager for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois, visited Van Ru?s headquarters in Park Ridge to accept the company?s donation and to share the story of the child whose wish will come true as a result of Van Ru?s gift. The company?s donation was made as a part of the Foundation?s Adopt-A-Wish program and will fund the cost of granting the computer wish of a child in the northern Illinois region.

Since the beginning of Van Ru?s Adopt-A-Wish program in April of this year, the response from staff has been overwhelming. Van Ru employees have already raised enough money to grant the wishes of two children, and they hope to top their goal of two by granting another wish before the end of 2001.

As one of the nation?s fastest growing privately owned receivables management firms, Van Ru has a staff of more than 1,200 employees among five office locations nationwide. The company has industry expertise in the areas of healthcare, government, education, telecommunications, and financial services.
