Genesis Financial Solutions, Inc., announced today that debt industry veteran Sandra Brahn has joined the Bankcard Services division of the company in the position of Director of Card Acquisitions.

Brahn joins Genesis Financial Solutions from Capital One, where she had been in the Credit Recovery Services division since 2000. Most recently, as Senior Business Development Manager, she managed the purchasing and sales of charged-off debt as well as key balance transfer partnership relationships. Earlier responsibilities at Capital One included several years of directing marketing and account management strategies for credit cards.

“Sandra has deep experience in the debt industry. She brings to Genesis a wealth of knowledge in the debt buying partnership arena as well as the credit card business,” says Lisa Nilsson, Vice President of Card Programs. “She will focus primarily on establishing credit card-based partnerships with creditors, debt buyers, private label companies and retailers to grow Genesis’ account base.”

Genesis has multiple card product platforms, including balance transfer, second-look, and performing portfolio acquisitions programs.

Brahn, who is well known in the credit card industry, will be responsible for networking and presenting deal concepts and structures to prospective partners to help Genesis generate card account growth.

Before entering the debt industry, Ms. Brahn was involved in corporate development at Siemens Corporation, business development for Diapositive (France) as they established a U.S. market presence, and managing her own marketing consulting company. Ms. Brahn has a Masters degree in Engineering/Management Science from Stanford University, and an undergraduate degree in the arts from the University of Virginia, with an emphasis on German language and literature.
