Payment Processing, Incorporated (PPI), the industry leader in integrated transaction processing, today announced an alliance with LexisNexis. The companies have joined to integrate PPI PayMover, PPI’s proprietary payment gateway, into Lexis Back Office powered by PCLaw. The solution provides law firms with integrated credit card processing capabilities for time billing, accounting and practice management, and was released last month.

"Our PCLaw customers expressed a demand for integrated credit card processing and we responded by aligning with PPI — a proven leader we knew could help us meet this demand. This solution provides operational efficiencies with an easy, comprehensive one-step solution," says Loretta Ruppert, vice president of back office solutions for LexisNexis. "The addition of PPI PayMover’s advanced technology and customer support enables LexisNexis to offer our customers valuable capabilities, especially in the B2B sector where corporate credit card usage has experienced exceptional growth," continues Ruppert.

"Through this alliance, LexisNexis moves to the forefront of offering a comprehensive credit card processing solution to address an emerging need in the legal practice management sector. We look forward to supporting their client base and ensuring law firms instantly see the business benefits of an integrated payment solution with PCLaw 9," says Chuck Riegel, executive vice president, software products and partnerships at PPI. "We believe the demand for integrated payment processing within the legal community also indicates the growing interest in credit card acceptance across the broader field of professional services," states Riegel.
