The Labor Department reported today that the core producer price index increased 0.1% in March, the smallest gain since November, according to a story today by MarketWatch.


Economists surveyed by MarketWatch thought that the core prices would increase 0.2%. The lower number is a very positive sign for those keeping watch on inflation.
