Joe Shutts is the Chief Operating Officer of HCA’s National Patient Account Services (NPAS), has been in the Healthcare industry for over 30 years. He has held positions in various areas on the provider side of the business including hospitals, corporate office, and his current position with NPAS. He has been a CFO of a sole community hospital, as well as various management positions within the corporate environment including areas of patient and general accounting, business office policy and procedures, and systems design for HCA. He has been the COO for over 10 years with NPAS. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Business. He is a member of HFMA, as well being an active member of the Customer Contact Center Network and the Health Enterprise Network in Louisville Kentucky.
