Michael Sutherland, a native of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area and founder of American Collections Enterprise, Incorporated (AmCollect), has more than 22 years of comprehensive credit and collections experience in the banking, medical, retail, commercial, property management and auto industries. Michael is a past President of Credit Professionals International of Fairfax, Virginia, certified by the American Collectors Association and through the ACA has earned Scholar and Fellow Degrees each in Collections Management. In 1996, 1998 and 1999, Michael received the "Beacon Award" from the American Collectors Association for his outstanding support and leadership in advancing the ACA’s federal legislative initiatives. Michael currently serves as President of the Virginia Collectors Association and served as the Education Chairman for the Virginia Collectors Association from 2000 – 2002. Michael remains very active with the American Collectors Association and is a member of the ACA International Interstate Committee. Michael remains 100% "hands on" of the day to day operations while overseeing the direction of AmCollect and its executive management team.
