Unifund is proud to announce that Robert (Bob) Schofield joins as Vice President, Strategic Alliances.

Bob will be responsible for developing and managing a contact service network to complement Unifund’s existing legal platform and sales network. This “end to end” solution will provide Unifund with additional recovery options while maintaining its leadership position in  the industry.

Bob spent the past nine years with Fourscore Resource Capital where he was CFO for three years and COO the last six years. Bob is a member of DBA International and currently is Chairman of the Asset Buyers Division of ACA International.

“Bob’s unique background is well suited to analyze, formulate, manage and build business relationships that complement Unifund’s strategic growth plan,” stated Jason Kaster, COO of Unifund. “This plan has focused on expanding our legal recovery network, adding a recovery platform and purchasing alternative asset classes that will expand Unifund’s core capabilities.”

“This completes our loop for a complete recovery solution. We saw it as a key evolutionary component to our relationships with creditors and debt buyers in the changing environment,” added Kaster.

Unifund, founded in 1986 has been a purchaser and manager of distressed consumer receivables for over 25 years.  As one of the largest purchasers in the debt buying industry, Unifund operates a legal collection and sales network and now adds a contact recovery network. Unifund’s successful models and applications are made available to creditors and debt buyers through its Recovery Decision Solutions (RDS) group.
