Encore Capital Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ECPG) today announced the closing of the previously announced underwritten public offering of 3,610,000 shares of its common stock by JCF FPK I LP, one of the company’s stockholders, at a price to the public of $24.35 per share. Encore did not receive any proceeds from the sale of the shares by the Selling Stockholder.

Immediately after the closing, the Selling Stockholder owned, in the aggregate, 361,315 shares of common stock, or approximately 1.47% of the company’s outstanding shares. The Selling Stockholder’s representative, Mr. John Oros, intends to remain on the board of directors of the company and to facilitate an orderly transition of his board seat.

The Selling Stockholder has been a stockholder of Encore since April 2007.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC acted as the sole book-running manager for the offering.
