Lenders are being compelled to increase their loan loss reserves and decrease their loan risk exposure as Wall Street looks out for its investments, according to BankNet 360.


More worrisome to investors is the fact that many mortgage originators are being forced to buy back bad loans from wholesale loan purchasers.


Banks across the country are already increasing their loss reserves in anticipation of an upswing in consumer loan defaults and delinquencies.
