A Wells Fargo computer containing the names, addresses, Social Security numbers and mortgage loan deposit numbers of Wells Fargo customers got ?lost? somewhere along the way between being shipped from one bank facility to another, according to a story run by Reuters Friday.

The bank was quick to point out that the missing computer has two levels of security, making any criminal activity difficult. It?s thought the alleged theft may be more for hardware than the data.

Wells Fargo joins a prestigious list of other data losers, such as Citigroup, Bank of America Corp, Wachovia, and Washington Mutual.
