The number of home foreclosures has spiked in the first quarter of 2006, with the Peach State leading the way, according to a story running in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.


Factors ranging from high unemployment rates to high interest rates, to aggressive loan packages that ultimately hurt the consumer have been cited as possible reasons for the spike.
