The Patient Payment Estimator is a seamless, automated solution that estimates the amount a patient will owe and what charges a patient’s health plan will cover at the point of service. The Estimator delivers professional and institutional estimates of patient co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles specific to the services provided and the provider’s contract with a patient’s health plan. Providers can authorize a payment method at the point of service and collect the estimated amount once the claim is adjudicated through the PAYMENTExpress platform. The Patient Payment Estimator enables providers to properly establish expectations with patients at the point of service and increase payment certainty from self-pay patients.
