TSF Financial, a new collection agency with particular expertise in collection data, has opened for business in the Denver suburb of Glendale. TSF Financial was founded by three debt recovery experts with more than 25 years of experience in collection and skip tracing data management.

Company founders John Thompson, Adam Schell and Jeff Flood see a void in the industry due to poor management of collection data. “The more data that is available in our industry, the more it is mismanaged,” said TSF Principal Adam Schell. “We see an opportunity to build a collection agency that is unsurpassed in effective use of data to maximize right party contact rates and hence net back.”

In addition to operating a collection agency, TSF also provides consulting support to the industry. “A collection agency’s main focus is quite properly managing their collectors and not managing information collected from data providers,” said Schell. “We can help remove the data management burden by connecting agencies with the right data sources and the right business processes and analysis to drive more efficient and cost effective use of their data.”

Prior to founding TSF Financial, Thompson, Schell and Flood worked for many years together at Acxiom Risk Mitigation (formerly InsightAmerica), a leading skip tracing data and analysis provider, where they played important roles in product development, data acquisition and business development. At TSF, they are joined by Paul Stephenson, an experienced collections manager in the financial, government and legal sectors. “A huge part of collections is knowing who to contact and how to reach them most efficiently,” said Stephenson. “I’m really excited to be joining this group of data wizards. It will give us a big leg up in helping clients achieve their net back goals.”
