Gila Corporation, through its Gila Group business unit, has signed a collections outsourcing agreement with Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Gila Group will handle the collection of all delinquent auto loan accounts, beginning with those classified as ten days delinquent until charged off by management. "Gila Group staff act as defacto employees of the Credit Union, so the process is seamless to Bethpage’s members," says Patrick J. Swanick, Gila Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer.

"We selected Gila Group because they specialize in collections for credit unions and financial institutions," says Tony Figlio, VP of Lending for Bethpage Federal Credit Union. "They have an excellent performance record for managing this type of service and I know they will be sensitive to the needs of our members," says Figlio. "In addition, Gila Group will handle all repossession matters relative to Credit Union loan accounts, allowing Bethpage to focus on our core competencies of providing great service to our members while minimizing charge-offs," says Figlio.

All Gila Corporation employees agree to and sign a Professional Collector’s Pledge to ensure that the highest standards are maintained throughout all interactions with a Credit Union’s members.
