Viking Collection Service, Inc. a leading national provider of customer care, billing and collection services, today announced that it has appointed John O’Shea as its President.

O’Shea, 49, has an extensive background of executive management in various call center operations including accounts receivable management (ARM) and customer care (contact management). He brings more than 20 years of operations, sales, analytics and client services expertise to his new position. His client relationships span the markets of banking, auto finance, energy, retail and healthcare servicing.

In this new position, O’Shea is responsible for operations oversight as well as directing the company’s sales and business development initiatives, helping to expand its client base and service offerings. Leveraging his ARM expertise, O’Shea will oversee and help ensure the ongoing implementation of state-of-the-art technology and industry best practices across the entire Viking operation.

Before joining Viking, O’Shea was with ICT Group, where he served as the senior executive of their ARM subsidiary, overseeing customer care and early delinquency programs provided in the Philippines, Costa Rica, Mexico City and three US centers. Previously, as Executive Vice President at AllianceOne, he was responsible for overseeing the operations, sales and customer service functions of that company’s financial services clients across 8 call centers in three countries. Mr. O’Shea has also served as Senior Vice President, and President, for TRIADvantage Credit (a GMAC company), where he was responsible for leading their sales and marketing, customer care and (non-mortgage) debt purchasing initiatives. Prior to that, he was a founder and co-owner of Triad Financial Services in Bloomington, Minnesota.

O’Shea holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He is a member of the ACA International, Debt Buyer’s Association and International Collections Group.
