MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA – Akcelerant, a software solution provider for the financial services industry, and SWBC, a San Antonio-based financial services company, announce their plans to host a joint conference in 2009. The Educational Conference will take place June 1-4 at The Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. For the past three years, Akcelerant has traditionally hosted an educational conference for its customers focused on Akcelerant Framework usage and best practices. Through the combination of Akcelerant and SWBC resources, attendees at this leadership event can expect not only product-specific learning but also sessions addressing best practices for handling the pressing issues facing collection, lending, and other financial industry professionals today.

The 2009 agenda has been released and includes well-known industry speakers such as Rex Johnson, President of Lending Solutions, Inc., Gordon Dames, former CEO of Mountain America Credit Union, and Tom Kontos, EVP, Analytical Services and Customer Strategies of ADESA Corporation. Sessions at this event span many areas of the financial services industry including bankruptcy, auto remarketing, growing your loan portfolio, working with difficult members, generation-y, and leveraging credit score technology.

The agenda also includes several sessions involving TopNotch, a collection and recovery product Akcelerant acquired due to its recent purchase of The Guthrie Phillips Group (GPG) earlier this month. The TopNotch User Conference, previously scheduled for later this year, is now being combined with Akcelerant and SWBC’s June event. This provides an excellent opportunity for TopNotch users to learn more about Akcelerant’s business strategy, staff, customers, and partners while enhancing their understanding of TopNotch.

“We are confident this event will be a big success and are excited to be joining forces with SWBC. SWBC has been a long time business partner of ours, and we feel our customers will benefit from their presence at this year’s conference. Not only will the combination of resources provide a better overall learning experience, but it will also enable increased industry networking and discussion. In today’s economy, we feel a conference combining both technical and industry learning will be highly beneficial and allow our attendees to get more out of their travel budgets,” comments Eric Snyder, SVP of Business Development at Akcelerant.

Brad Young, SVP of Business Strategy at SWBC, states, “We have a strong agenda this year that will provide attendees with unique insight into the changing financial services landscape. Understanding how to capture the next generation as a customer, learning new ways to create lending opportunities and developing strategies to mitigate risk in the most efficient way are all very important challenges we need to master in the coming years. Although budgets are tight, now is EXACTLY the right time to invest in our future.”
