TransUnion today announced it will acquire ADS ResponseCorp, Inc. (ADSR). The Fort Lauderdale-based company provides automated software solutions to clinics, hospitals and healthcare providers to assist uninsured and underinsured consumers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TransUnion and ADSR have been strategic partners and jointly developed and released TransUnion’s Healthcare Revenue Cycle Platform in 2004. Combining TransUnion’s financial, collections and credit information with ADSR’s premier financial screening software has enabled customers to qualify hundreds of thousands of patients for assisted and individual payment options.

"Over the last two years, our partnership has made great strides in harnessing the power of data for the benefit of the healthcare industry, their patients and the communities they serve," said TransUnion’s Rod Bazzani, executive vice president. "The combination of resources, knowledge and technical infrastructure better positions us to meet the healthcare provider’s dynamic needs."

Along with its own intellectual and data capital, TransUnion will leverage ADSR’s financial screening software and technical expertise to develop new solutions for the healthcare industry and markets that support it. "The landscape, players and responsibilities in the healthcare industry are ever-changing — with new programs and regulations being introduced on both a federal and state level. By leveraging our aggregated assets and synergies, we can deliver solutions that effectively address these changes, providing benefits to all parties in the equation," said ADSR’s president, Phillip Dolamore.
